Happy Mother's Day from MHHWC!

Mother’s Day is a time to honor and uplift the women who nurture us: biological mothers, adoptive mothers, grandmothers, aunts, godmothers, foster mothers, and every woman who has stepped into a mothering role out of love and compassion. Whether by birth, by choice, or by circumstance, today we celebrate you.

We especially want to thank the mothers who are caring for children facing mental health and/or substance use challenges, as well as the mothers who are walking their own journey of recovery. Your love, strength, and resilience do not go unnoticed. You show up on the hard days, the healing days, and every day in between, and we are so grateful.

The road isn’t always easy. According to SAMHSA’s National Survey on Substances Use Disorder more than 50 million American adults in recovery are mothers with children under 18. These mothers are not only navigating their own wellness, they are the cornerstone of their families' healing and growth.

Mothers, your presence matters. Your efforts matter. And your love can be life-changing. As primary caregivers, advocates, protectors, and listeners, your role in recovery, your child’s and your own is both sacred and powerful.

Happy Mother's Day! 💗
