How is it treated?

GAD can lead to or worsen other physical health conditions, like Digestive or bowel problems such as irritable bowel syndrome and illness (IBS), headaches and migranes, chronic pain.

The outlook for GAD can differ depending on the severity. In some cases it is a long-term (chronic) and difficult to treat.

GAD may result in significant social, academic and familial impairment. If left untreated, the disorder may be chronic and the base of adulthood anxiety and depression.
